In the land of a thousand waterfalls

Earlier this year Tamara and I had the chance to visit Iceland. It was an extremely short visit. Basically, we spent an extended weekend exploring the southwestern region of Iceland. If we liked it, the idea would be to go on a a more substantial adventure and spend a couple weeks travelling the country.

And what a country this is! Iceland offers amongst the most stunning landscapes on the face of this earth. Its rugged, wild and varying landscape never stopped surprising us. The colors, the shapes, everything is out of the ordinary. With its many water sources and vulcanic landscape it is little surprising that waterfalls are an important feature, providing many stunning views.

So, we'll definitely be back. We know that in four days it is impossible to do Iceland and its landscapes justice, and we certainly have not had enough yet!
