During summer 2000 I was on my first short stay in Lausanne and discovered town during the Lausanne Jardins 2000 exhibition. The installations and plants present in town heavily shaped the image I got and the way I see this town still today as I live in it.
The 2019 edition of Lausanne Jardins comes in a completely different groove, is more subtle and reflects on the relation of a town and it's underlying soil. The gardens almost hide away in not so common places forcing you to discover spots you would normally not pass by in your daily routine...
A great opportunity to reflect on the organization of our towns we live in and how much space we attribute to trees, wild plants and all the small wildlife they bring with them!
